Eloy spent the afternoon with his Godfather on Saturday while Mum and Dad went to see a movie. It was so good of Matt to offer his time and very brave, too. Despite having zero experience looking after babies, he came over early, picked up a few tips and dived right into the deep end. I must confess to being quite nervous during the movie and kind of wishing we hadn't chosen Avatar (3 hours long!!). I called Matt as soon as we left the cinema and he was in the park with Eloy, who was fast asleep in the mai-tai. When we got back to the house they were laughing, singing and playing. It couldn't have gone better. That night Eloy slept for 6 and a half hours straight! What a wonderful godfather!!!
what a wonderful godfather you have Eloy - you are a lucky boy. I wish I could sit and sing to you too.

ReplyDeleteShame I forgot the words a bit near the start. There's this whole bit where Jimmy plays the Euphonium to cheer up the little red monkey that I forgot.
Also, I had a Poopie song for when I was changing his nappy. It involves making popping noises with my mouth every time I say "poop". It made nappy changing a breeze!
